Casa sul Molo is located at the heart of the Mercerie, the old street which connects Piazza San Marco to Rialto and which for centuries has been the luxury shopping center of Venice.
The bed & breakfast looks out over Campo San Zulian where, from between one shop and another, the splendid Church peaks out, designed by Jacopo Sansovino around the XVI century and the frescos painted by Paolo Veronese and Palma il Giovane with scenes showing the Redemption.
The bronze memorial monument dedicated to Tommaso Rangone, which stands out against a background of Istria stone, is worth noting.
The position of Casa sul Molo is highly strategic: all the most artistically and culturally interesting places in Venice are close at hand and can be easily reached on foot within a few minutes.
One of these being the spectacular Piazza San Marco, a stone`s throw away from the bed & breakfast, where one can admire the Basilica, the Bell Tower, the "Procuratie" and the Clock Tower.
Yet another symbolic place is without doubt the Rialto Bridge, built between 1588 and 1591, where you can admire the magnificent view of the Grand Canal amidst stalls and shops. |

How to get here
By train
Once you reach the Santa Lucia Station, take the no. 1 or 2 vaporetto and get off at the San Zaccaria stop. On your left you will find Piazza San Marco. Cross the Square until you come to the Clock Tower, go under the porch and walk through the Mercerie. At a certain point you will come to Campo San Zulian, where you will see the prestigious Cartier shop. In front of this you will find the Luisa Spagnoli shop: the calle to the right of this shop is where the Casa sul Molo is located (at number 744).
By car
You can park at Tronchetto or in one of the Garages at Piazzale Roma. From Tronchetto take the no. 2 vaporetto to San Zaccaria (from Piazzale Roma you can also take the no. 1) and get off at the San Zaccaria stop. On your left you will find Piazza San Marco: cross the Square until you reach the Clock Tower, go under the porch and walk through the Mercerie. At a certain point you will come to Campo San Zulian, where you will see the prestigious Cartier shop. By plane
From "Marco Polo" Venice airport there are numerous ways of reaching the Casa sul Molo:
- with the public motorboat service "Alilaguna", you will reach Piazza San Marco in approx. 1 hour. On your left you will find Piazza San Marco: cross the Square until you come to the Clock Tower, go under the porch and walk through the Mercerie. At a certain point you will come to Campo San Zulian, where you will see the prestigious Cartier shop. In front of this you will find the Luisa Spagnoli shop: the calle to the right of this shop is where Casa sul Molo is located (at number 744);
- by private water taxi you will be dropped just a few meters from this exclusive bed & breakfast in Venice;
- with the "Venezia Air Terminal" bus you will reach Piazzale Roma in 20 minutes. From there, take the no. 1 or 2 vaporetto and get off at the San Zaccaria stop. Cross Piazza San Marco until you come to the Clock Tower, go under the porch and walk through the Mercerie. At a certain point you will come to Campo San Zulian, where you will see the prestigious Cartier shop.
